This Month in Slice...
Last time, I discussed how it amazes me how much work can be achieved in just a singular month. With that in mind, consider me amazed once more, because July has been full of some of our best work to date.
With so much happening in our day-to-day, it’s important that we’re living our ethos and constantly striving to innovate, deliver, and delight. It’s our agency tagline after all.
And July has been a testament to that methodology. In isolation, we’ve had two large Shopify migration projects go live, with LES and Goodlookers, which we can’t wait to talk about more. But we’ve also been cooking up new solutions behind the scenes, and uncovering how we can bring new value to all of the brands we work with, be it for marketing, design, or looking towards how they can nail Black Friday.
Finally, Summer is - sadly - almost over, so if you’re in need of a final injection of summer creative before September rolls around, you know exactly where to contact us.
Working on a new project for a long term client is always a joy, as your relationship together can really inform the project, and bring it to new heights. Having worked with Lifting Equipment Store on their Google Ads and organic search strategy for many months, the brand opted to trust in our expertise and allow us to help them migrate to Shopify, in what turned out to be one of our largest projects to date. The new site has provided the brand with a much more manageable brand house, and will allow both us and them to grow their business together in a much more nimble fashion. Check it out below.
Arrow Gift Co came to us with the goal of taking ownership of their Shopify store so that they could move away from channels such as Etsy. Through the delivery of a robust tone of voice framework, the completion of an innovative brand uplift, and a newly built Shopify site to match, Arrow Gift Co were given an all new brand house to run their business. 25 times the number of average orders on launch day certainly sounds like a win to us.
Our friends over at Pie Financial have taken a deep dive into a question at the forefront of many eCom merchants’ brains - How much does it cost to move to Shopify Plus? On the face of it, a question answered very simply by the difference in subscription costs between Shopify Plus and Shopify Advanced. However, as with most things in the eCommerce world, once you start pulling that thread, you’d be surprised at how much it unravels.
For those of you that missed it, Shopify released the second of their twice annual Editions this past month. The Summer 2024 instalment of editions featured a wide range of new features to serve eCommerce stores of all sizes. Whether you’re just setting up a store for the first time, or you’ve got multiple expansion stores, this edition has you covered. Want to know more? Check out our full write up on the new editions below.
New Caker alert! As a former maths teacher, we’re pretty sure the numbers are safe with Full Stack Developer Ollie Crawford, and he’s already delivering some great work for us.
We’re delighted by the fact that we constantly deliver the level of work that our clients deserve. To ensure that we can continue to do so with so many new brands joining us, we are currently on the lookout for another full stack developer to join our growing development team. Know someone who’d be a great fit? All the details they’d need can be found on our website. Or, check out our other vacancies.
