This Month in Slice...
The new year’s a unique time in eCommerce. Not only do you see more returns than any other time of year, but - unless you’re in the health and wellness sector - you’ll likely struggle to acquire new customers too.
However, that leaves room to fully dive into how your brand did and didn’t win throughout the previous year, and to map out a plan for what’s to come in the year ahead.
Our month’s been full of 2025 planning sessions, looking into how we can make this year the best year possible for all of our clients. But we’ve also made time for ourselves too. We’ve been heads down working on some big things that we can’t wait to shout about. In fact, this may well be the last edition of The Slice as you know it…🤫
But until then let’s look around the world of eCommerce.
Reaching seven figures as an eCommerce brand represents a tipping point for your business as a whole.
Businesses don’t just scale in one continuously smooth line, they need to adapt and respond to change in order to see more success.
For eCommerce, it’s typically the point where the primary base of customers you have at your disposal has mostly dried up.
Our latest blog looks at how eCom brands can employ some new methodologies, break through those plateaus, and scale beyond 7 figures.
Check it out.

We even got a chance to throw one in for Cake, as we said before, there’s some new things coming soon.

Over 18 months after its initial launch in 2023, Meta has finally started to roll out Ads on Threads. With 300 million+ users, Threads is going to be quick to transition from a purely social experience to an advertising powerhouse.
Whilst it’s only live in the US & Japan right now, it looks like it won’t be too hard for advertisers to roll ads out on Threads. As an extension of Meta’s other platforms, advertisers can simply add Threads to their campaign reach by simply checking a box in Ads Manager. We’ll be watching this one closely.
The days leading up to and following the 19th of January sure were a wild ride for social media marketers. Due to an inherent distrust of parent company Bytedance, the US Government’s vote to ban TikTok finally came in to effect…
…for 12 hours.
As of right now, the ruling was given a 75 day extension. However, in the lead up to the ban, many users fleed to the Chinese social media app Xiaohongshu (RedNote), China’s answer to Instagram. Despite the app not being built for non-Chinese speakers, it topped the app store downloads list this month.
Whilst this ban didn’t, and won’t, affect the UK or wider world, the US remains a huge market. So, it’s worth weighing up whether TikTok remains a worthwhile platform to your business’s long term goals.
