How brands are using TikTok

TikTok Ads Manager opens a world of possibilities for brands that seek to increase their following. Here are some of the types of ads that you can launch on TikTok:

Too Faced

Too Faced is a cruelty-free beauty brand for young females in the UK. In a TikTok Brand Takeover campaign, they launched a series of clips featuring the before and after effects of their ‘Lip Injection Extreme’.

The result was a total of 7.6 million impressions in a day while their product pages gained 1.3 million clicks!

When KFC closed its stores due to the pandemic, it launched premium in-feed ads to highlight its delivery service. To seem relatable and relevant to young millennials stuck in isolation, the ad featured KFC’s mouth-watering fried chicken with Celine Dion’s ‘All by Myself’ playing in the background.

This campaign led to an astounding 3.4 million impressions and a 1.87% click-through rate for their Deliveroo page.

Converse’s Branded Hashtag Challenge – #ConverseAllStar – encourage users to customise their shoes for a chance to snag tickets for their London All Star Creative Event.

The fantastic campaign generated 24M total views and 29.7M impressions. The Converse creators in the campaign helped amass 16.86 impressions and 1.8M clicks.

TikTok offers free ad credits

TikTok is offering $100 million worth of free ad credits to encourage businesses to launch their ads. Eligible SMBs can avail one-time ad credits worth US$300 (£226.74) that can be used between now and December. The recent launch of their self-serve platform enables the company to boost revenue and become a top target for advertisers
