Our Top 4 Apps

The Top 4 Apps Recommended by Apex Ecommerce

The team at Apex are as passionate about ecommerce as Andy Murray is about tennis. So we want to talk to you about the Top 4 Apps that we’ve been talking about this week.

We as a nation spend on average 2 hours a day on apps. Whether it’s checking the weather, having a nose on instagram or answering emails, we’re addicted to having information at our finger tips.

Today we’re looking at the top 4 apps that aren’t typically on your must have list, but are definitely worth a look. They achieve great results from creating an app that works perfectly for their target audience.

I stumbled across this app a couple of weeks ago, looking for some make up inspiration. Guys, please don’t skim past this first app – you might find use for it yet!

This app covers all things beauty, not only is it a store, it’s a social hub of beauty/hair enthusiasts. You can look through photos, videos, tutorials, videos and even get involved with the chatroom.

Guys here is where it’s handy for you, if you’re struggling to find a gift for someone who is into hair and make up, then guess what this is the go-to app! You can just take a look at the reviews, or post in the Talk section and see what people recommend.

If you haven’t heard of Ocado, where have you been? Their app is hands down the easiest grocery shopping app around.

The favourites section, aisles and special offers are easily accessible and that makes your shopping so much easier. You can complete your order in under 10 minutes for a full weeks shop. The delivery schedule is clear and plenty of time slots to suit you. You do get quite a few special offers and ‘don’t forget’ items thrown your way towards the checkout but it takes seconds to complete your order. If you’ve forgotten something, there’s no need to edit the whole order – they have a handy add on system.

Anyone who has kids, knows how much of a headache it is to ensure that your little one is eating all the right stuff. Not only has it got to be something they like, it’s got to be a healthy and well balanced meal.

Well say hello to First Foods from Ellas Kitchen. You all know the handy fruit & veg pouches that every mum and dad have grabbed at some point. They’ve created an app to help you ease into weaning, introducing new flavours and exciting textures. There’s a meal planner, shopping lists, recipes and what to feed at what age.

As a mum, I am guilty of cooking the same old dinners and forgetting to add a little variety. This app gets you out of the “same old” rut. I’d recommend this to all mums and dads!

We couldn’t talk about apps without mentioning a retail store. There are so many to visit and a lot of them do have a slight hiccup with user experience. Except that is for one… Net a Porter.

The well styled app has an easy well laid out shop with features such as “What to Wear” that gives you inspiration for a Night Out or Weekend outfit. The filter option is a small pop up that doesn’t take you back and forth from pages and loads quickly without any hiccups.

They have a scanner option, so if you see something in a magazine then you can simply scan and they’ll search the site for it. This app is a big hit in the office currently – even if the price tags are a little over our budget!
