Biography
Despite specialising in Shopify Theme and App development in his work at Cake, Max brings a history of working on bespoke Wordpress sites to his role at Cake. Naturally, this varied and ever expanding skillset makes him a foundational member of our development team.
Having worked on bespoke sites for over three years Max ensures that our client’s sites are visually up to date and that new functionalities and optimisations are rolled out smoothly. With a diverse range of skills, Max not only enriches the capabilities of our development team, but provides a unique perspective when tackling challenges.
Highlights
Arrow Gift Co
Once the design team had completed their work, it was up to me to bring the Arrow Gift Co website to life. Whilst most of the heavy lifting in making this store look good was done before I got my hands on it, it was still an enjoyable experience to bring the brand to life in my own way. All that’s left is to get ourselves a card as a celebration of a super smooth project going live!

Site Oppo - Mobile app development
A different venture then we’re typically known for but one that speaks to our full toolbelt of skills. Not only was Site Oppo’s mobile app not based off of a pre-existing eCommerce store, but there was actually no code for us to work with at all - it all had to be done from scratch. Shout out to the designers and everyone else that worked on this project - it looks great.

I just love a migration project! You get to play around with another platform than Shopify, which is always interesting - but it just reminds you why Shopify is so great! Hexby’s new site is built for conversions and the before and after looks so good.

There’s two main things for me. First and foremost I get to work with a group of extremely talented individuals who are always willing to learn, share and create outstanding content. But also the fact that we get flexibility within development. There’s scope for us to be creative, and the team are always open to trying out new tools and new technologies to improve our skills, and we create better work as a result
Well, being a Full-stack developer, my role involves many aspects such as developing Shopify apps, Shopify themes, Websites, carrying out retainer work… no two jobs are ever the same!
It’s definitely Cake’s drive and determination to be ahead of the curve, the whole team from developers to account managers are always innovating and finding ways to improve as an agency.
