Takeover | Tiktok World

Social media will never stop evolving, and every month welcomes brand-new updates across all of the most popular platforms. Whether it’s for your brand or your clients, your business will benefit from keeping in the loop with the latest updates.

This month’s innovation is a TikTok takeover and features lots of exciting advancements from TikTok World this month.

1. TikTok Shopping

TikTok shopping is a suite of solutions, features and advertising tools that allows a native shopping experience for brands of all sizes to bring users from the discovery to purchase in a matter of moments.

With TikTok shopping, brands are given the opportunity to create a full shopping experience directly through their TikTok Business Account. By adding a shopping tab to their profiles, brands can sync their product catalogues to create a product showcase tab that links directly to their online store for checkout.

The best part of this is that it’s easy to get started! Brands who already work with an eCommerce partner can connect their product catalogue through their partnerships, and for those of you who don’t have an eCommerce partner, you can work directly with TikTok where they can manage your entire catalogue and experience including your shipping, fulfilment, and point of purchase. Essentially, you can make TikTok your merchant of record.

Later this year further innovations are coming where they will be launching a Shopping API which will allow the business to integrate their product catalogues directly into TikTok and even within organic content.

2. LIVE Shopping

This new feature allows brands to connect with their audiences in real-time, by seamlessly integrating products from their TikTok while live streaming across their platform, providing LIVE Shopping tools that help users buy what they discover while watching a brand’s stream, making the customer journey even more simple.

3. Dynamic Showcase Ads

Dynamic Showcase ads (DSA) allow brands to automatically promote thousands of products and personalised video ads, based on their activity such as adding to cart or viewing a product to create this custom content.

This creates the kind of customised content experience that the TikTok community has come to know and love, and thanks to new partnerships with TikTok such as Productsup, it’s easier than ever for brands to integrate their product catalogues to create Dynamic Showcase Ads.

4. DSA Templates

Following the previous advancement to support the creation of Dynamic Showcase ads, TikTok has designed a suite of DSA templates that follow the creative principles such as audio, text overlays and visually engaging clips that will all work together to help provide native videos to the community.

5. Lead Generation

Like many other platforms, TikTok has incorporated lead generation ads into the mix. For products that may have a longer sales lead time, lead generation helps build, grow and convert a brand’s customer base.  To ensure this process is fast and seamless, TikTok has partnered with companies like Zapier and Leadsbridge, which connects a brand’s CRM to their TikTok Lead Generation campaign.
