Email marketing & CRM launch

A journey from start to finish. We worked on a CRM strategy specifically tailored for new start-up, Tweakit, to ensure users are engaged at each step of the launch of their new product; resulting in a roll out of a three-month CRM sprint starting before the website went live and ending after.

The Challenge

Our in-house CRM champions at Cake were brought into the mix and set out to discover how we could effectively communicate with Tweakit’s target audience. We needed to ensure that education was at the forefront whilst also concentrating on creating a community of like-minded individuals ready to make a change through relevant and compelling email content.

The Solution

Stage one - onboard Cake’s agency CRM partner Klaviyo. Klaviyo are seamlessly integrated with the eCommerce platform Shopify. Once this was integrated we were able to begin the strategic planning of the editorial calendar, automated flows, campaigns and pop-ups.  

We approached our strategy with two focuses; pre-launch and post-launch. Starting at pre-launch stage, the emails aimed to educate the user on new updates to the product, packaging and also the company’s USP’s. Each email would tease a little bit more information to build up curiosity and leave the user feeling excited about what was to come.

We worked with our super-creative in-house designers to encapsulate the fun energy behind the brand. They created a series of gorgeous automated email, and campaign templates.

A post launch editorial calendar was created to keep momentum going after go-live, outlining key brand objectives and retail dates along the way.

The Outcome

Within the first three months of launching the new Shopify Plus B2C site, Aran Woollen Mills could see the growth potential of the brand with both pre and post launch efforts results:

We set up in place ready for action the launch of flows, campaigns and pop-ups and will be testing subject lines, audiences and send times to collect data. This is just the beginning of our journey, with insights to be used towards the next 90-day roadmap for Tweakit.
