Dancing Leopard is an ecommerce retailer of boutique women’s clothing.
Finding their current website dated and restrictive, the brand were looking to invest in a new online store in time for the surge in traffic their Black Friday offer would bring them.
With a strong vision and plans to expand into new territories in the coming years, Dancing Leopard needed a new site that could handle high traffic traffic and be easily changed as their business grew - we knew that a fresh Shopify Plus store was the natural solution.

We found that the Dancing Leopard website was actually performing well already, but we wanted to see just how far we could push their success with a newly optimised site.
Additionally, coming off our “Best Website of the Year” win at the 2019 Drapers awards for building P&Co’s Website, one of our goals for the new Dancing Leopard store was to create yet another award winning website.
We started by creating a number of different versions of the website’s core pages - the home page, product page, and collection page - which would give Dancing Leopard options as to which design they liked best. For each design, we wanted to ensure that we were creating a user-friendly interface that reflected the Dancing Leopard brand.
Once everyone was happy with the design, we made a start on bringing it to life on Shopify Plus. In fact, we were able to do so with time to spare, giving us plenty of time to capitalise on the interest driven by Black Friday.
We can safely say we exceeded both Dancing Leopard’s and our own expectations. And despite the website going live with an impressive site speed score of 96/100, we continued to optimise the site long after it went live.
We were confident that the newly launched site would be a strong contender for “Best Website of the Year” at the 2020 Drapers Awards, and submitted it as an entry.
That gave us back to back wins in the category - definitely one for the trophy cabinet.
